The Senior Boys Basketball team did very well at MRISA. Everyone had an early start to the day and had to play outside in the heat. In our first game, we beat the ISHCMC ‘B” team but then lost to ISPP from Cambodia . However, the team showed determination by then defeating VIS from Laos. The first half of the semi final against NISC from Cambodia was very even. However, the team had trouble scoring to finish off the game and ended up losing to the eventual champions. I am really proud of how the team worked extremely hard together over the course of the year and at the tournament. Rupert Turner-Goldsack and Jack Griffiths were selected as team stars for their determination, hard work and leadership. Nikki Gromotka and Ching Hung Wang were selected by all the coaches at the tournament as All Stars. Congratulations to everyone on a well played tournament.

Volleyball

The Senior Girls volleyball team have successfully defended their MRISA championship from last year in Ho Chi Minh City this past weekend. The girls looked confident as ever in winning 5 straight matches without losing a set. The final match was incredibly exciting as the girls won 2 nail-biting sets to claim their 3rd MRISA championship in a row. This is truly an incredible achievement after a long and gruelling day of basketball the day before.   Well done ladies!

The Senior Boys Volleyball tournament started early on Saturday morning. The boys were tired after their hard day of basketball on Friday and failed to get into their best form until the last of the round robin games. During the final two games they played some of the most impressive and at times spectacular volleyball seen during the tournament. Look out next year! - Coach Febrey
