Philosophy and Aims of the International Baccalaureate |
|
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme is a two year, pre-university programme of studies culminating in external examination/ moderation. Successful candidates receive IB Certificates for passes in individual subject areas. The Diploma proves the student has undergone a thorough education in a broad range of subject areas. The IB Programme emphasises the logical and critical thinking skills that are developed through the MYP Programme, though there is less teacher autonomy over the selection of content. It aims to provide a balanced curriculum, encourage a sense of social responsibility and prepare students for higher education. |
