Community Classes & Workshops
THE REGISTRATION FOR THE SPRING SESSION 2018 WILL OPEN FROM 8.30AM ON MONDAY, 05 FEBRUARY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR PARTICIPATION. THANK YOU!
UNIS Hanoi is committed to serving the wider Hanoian community.
UNIS Community Programmes' Classes and Workshops are open to children and adults in the entire Hanoi community including UNIS Hanoi students and families. These classes and workshops provide a multitude of great opportunities for everyone. Our aim is to provide opportunities for learning and enrichment as well as to encourage and promote a deeper understanding of our host country and of other cultures.
UNIS Hanoi Community Programmes continues to grow each year, expanding deeper into our community. This year, new courses offered within the Community Programmes included: expanded swimming options, IT classes, Yoga and Zumba Dance, and Fun Art Attack. More and more Vietnamese families are attracted to the programme and look forward to enrolling their children in the many activities which are on offer. Over 1,500 participants in over 100 different classes have been involved in the Community Programmes during the 2014-2015 school year.
The Community Programmes is run by the Co-Curricular Activities Office at UNIS Hanoi. Being aware that learning and personal development should take place throughout our whole lives, we provide opportunities for continuing education and we encourage and promote a deeper understanding of our host country and of others.
In the coming years, the UNIS Hanoi Community Programmes will continue to expand and diversify to align as best we can with the needs of our community.
If you would like to offer a class or receive our notification email regarding new Community Programmes in the future, please contact our Community Programmes Officer, Ms Ha Thien Ha or telephone: 091 433 5123.
Community Programmes Missions
The Community Programmes provide an opportunity for all residents of Hanoi to become a part of the UNIS Hanoi community through a variety of classes, workshops and sport activities offered for adults and children. The Community Programmes should strive to meet the continuing education needs of both expatriate and Vietnamese residents. While it is important for the Community Programmes to be financially self-sustaining, these classes, workshops and activities are not necessarily a source of revenue for UNIS Hanoi. Rather, they are a vital component of the school’s public relations efforts.
